Job Description:
Page10 is looking for an experienced Lead Web application developer who enjoys delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for a variety of business problems. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your experience to projects leveraging your team of Ruby, PHP and .NET developers.You will have the opportunity to direct the technology solution for a number of internal properties as well as for client needs. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in Ruby, or other rich web development languages. Our interest is less about the specific technology background as it is a demonstrated success in applying technology to solutions and a strong desire to deliver quality solutions. Our team members work with us as full time employees, full time contract, or contract to hire.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development process, deliver technical guidance and manage quality as well as actively participate in development
• Support and implement processes and technology to maintain a reliable development lifecycle, including version control, software testing, continuous integration and deployment practices
• Architect solutions and technology plans for new projects and existing web applications
• Own the implementation & deployment of any developed web application
• Provide mentorship to developers in evolving design, maintainable code, and testing
• Collaborate with management, design, development and operations team members to refine requirements, deliverables, and milestones for web applications and services
• Establish and maintain technology & development standards
• Evaluate new tools and techniques and make recommendations regarding preferred solutions
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of the core function of our business and applications
• Manage to project scopes, timelines and budgets
• Provide prototypes for evaluation and iterations
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional software development, preferably in a leadership capacity developing in one or more of the following: Ruby/Rails, PHP, Javascript, C, .NET, Java, or other rich development toolset through architecture, development, testing and deployment.
• 4+ years experience in web application development (HTML / CSS / JS)
• 3 + years experience leading a development team
• Deep understanding of client-servicer software integration, and designing for its scalability, performance and reliability
• Development experience with a major database system such as MYSQL
• Strong experience working with user requirements and team designs
• Practical experience with cloud technologies
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines while being a strong team player
• Strong attention to detail while being able to see the big picture and think strategically
• Experience with design patterns, LAMP environments, Javascript, HTML/ CSS
• Basic networking knowledge
