Prior to beginning work, page10 also devised an implementation road map that would guide the process from start to completion, as well as keep the project within budget. To make the site easy-to-use for the elderly, special design components were incorporated such as a simple navigation set-up and an option to increase font size. Content was written at a rudimentary level, so anyone reading it could acquire a basic understanding of the technology. In the second phase of the project, page10 designed a secured clinician interface that allows clinicians to purchase and activate patient prescriptions on the REVEAL® device, which is used in conjunction with V-RES™ therapy. Together, this interface and the design of the device provide a secure, flexible method for providing patients with on-going care. Acuity is currently bringing the V-RES™ technology to market internationally.

The recap of the study concluded by reiterating the point how it’s becoming increasingly more difficult for consumers to trace the sources of information – particularly in instances when an original article has changed hands multiple times, circulating through online portals, emails, social media outlets – the works. Researcher S. Shyam Sundar summed it by saying, “With traditional media, it’s fairly clear who the source is, but in online media, it gets very murky because there are so many sources.”

A source is more credible if someone who possesses a degree and/or credentials, or is recognized as a reputable subject matter expert, writes it. If the author is presenting original work, you can also evaluate the merit of the ideas since credentials don’t necessarily guarantee innovation. 3) Third, find out when the source was published or revised. In some subject areas, having current...
